After winning his first round match against a player from New Beckenham, Ladywell's men's champion, Des Marrett won his second round match in the Kent County Unbadged Singles on Wednesday 31st May against C. Dempsey from Bellingham.
With the winner being the first to 21, Des won a tight contest 21-20.
His next match, for a place in the quarter-finals of his division, is against J. Ouzman, representing Orpington on Wednesday 7th June at the green in Ladywell Fields.
